King & Whitson Travel Team

Martha King

Luxury Travel Advisor, Partner

Martha has been collecting unique travel experiences since the summer she spent as a teenager in Twickenham, England. Some of her favorites include: scuba diving to one hundred feet in Small Hope Bay, Bahamas (didn’t know she was pregnant!); “ringing the bell” at the New York Stock Exchange; learning the art of “catching a car” in Moscow (a local custom); swimming with the stingrays in Grand Cayman (and didn’t get stung). Four kids later, the adventures didn’t stop and Martha has taken her children on a number of family vacations over the years. Martha is passionate about making client travel dreams a reality. She ensures every detail is taken care of...and even includes fun surprises along the way. Martha lives in Signal Mountain, TN with her family. When she is not traveling to (exotic) destinations for soccer tournaments, she loves playing tennis (never happens), reading a good book (preferably with her feet in the sand), or traveling with her family and friends.

Mary Elizabeth Kaufman

Senior Travel Coordinator

Having worked in the travel industry since 2012, Mary Elizabeth believes travel is a healthy addiction she is proud to have!  Because of her husband's Italian roots, Mary Elizabeth specializes in planning travel to all areas of Italy. Her goal is to travel to all 20 regions of Italy in her lifetime.  Mary Elizabeth and her husband, Julian, have three children (all of whom have traveled more in their short lives than she ever did at their ages!).  Mary Elizabeth vows to NOT stay in her little corner of the earth when at all possible.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” - Mark Twain
